VIA Care is a registered NDIS Service Provider with a growing team. We provide a range of short and long term supports including Support Independent Living (SIL), overnight support, support coordination and plan management. VIA Care has a strong focus on supporting clients from all communities and working to deliver native-language services for clients who speak English as an additional language.

VIA Care grew out of the Victorian International Academy which has delivered training for over 10 years. VIA provides accredited training in Disability, Aged Care and Community Support.

About the Role

The NDIS Business Development and Marketing Officer will implement and support the development of VIA Care’s marketing strategy and undertake extensive business development.

Primary responsibilities include representing VIA Care to:

  • drive business growth and development through networking and building relations with key customer stakeholders and direct customers,

  • generating new leads and business opportunities,

  • onboarding new NDIS participants,

  • managing customer portfolios in the greater Melbourne area and

  • Liaising between customers and our support teams to ensure services meet client expectations

As the primary marketing representative of VIA Care in this period of growth you will be a key player in developing a strong and trusted relationship with the community and our participants and have a key role in forging VIA Care’s identity as a service provider.

 

 This role combines elements of marketing, business development and direct client engagement. As a customer-focused position you will be forging alliances with NDIS Participants, Community Services, Networks, and other organizations.


Job Purpose
You will be driving VIA Care’s community engagement and marketing so that we can extend our supports to NDIS participants who are looking for an individualized and empathetic service. You will be working to develop VIA Care’s public image and providing information about our services to people with disabilities, caregivers, hospitals, Local Area Coordinators (LAC’s) and other service providers.

 

Working as part of a larger team, you will provide exceptional customer service, needs assessments and service matching in order to provide quality outcomes for people with disabilities and their families.

 

Responsibilities

 

Business development 

  • Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives, and following up leads to link clients with our services.

  • Applying your business development and marketing experience to improve community awareness of VIA Care.

  • Work across multiple platforms to engage with potential clients and referral organizations, including social media, email marketing, advertising, web promotions, representing VIA Care at expos and developing personal contacts.

  • Build and maintain a viable and stable client base in your designated region with LAC’s and Support Coordination units.

  • Promoting VIA Care to LAC’s, Support Coordinators, Hospitals, Rehabilitation centers and other services providers to engage clients with our services.

  • Developing key relationships with clients and working with our operations team to relay client experiences and ensure our services meet client expectations.

  • Onboarding new clients on the NDIS platform.

  • Generating and managing new relationship opportunities.

  • Developing network in the community to foster customer engagement and enquiries. 

  • Consulting with cold and warm leads to provide advice and solutions to clients and help them understand the process.

  • Ensure customers are supported in a smooth and timely manner and within the financial boundaries of their NDIS plan.

 

Digital Marketing

  • Providing digital content for our website and social media platforms

  • Working to develop appropriate social media and advertising content which engages key segments of the community and reviewing outcomes of engagement campaigns.

 

Operations and compliance

 Operating in the NDIS environment you will be working within a strong compliance framework. This requires strong attention to detail in administrative tasks and in the development of marketing material.

 

As a component of the end-to-end maintenance of clients you engage with VIA Care you will be responsible for maintaining records of the supports delivered to a client and ensuring they are appropriately recorded against their NDIS plan.

 

You may at times also be required to support the operations team with related administrative and quality assurances tasks.

 

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will have a mixture of some or all of the following skills.

 

  • Experience or knowledge in a relevant field (marketing and customer service/experience) and an understanding of sound business practice

  • Experience or understanding of the disability field and NDIS services including SIL, Supported Living, and Community Services.

  • Business, sales, or marketing management experience is highly desirable.

  • Commitment to the values, vision and mission of the organization and a desire to make a positive impact in the lives of people we support.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present professionally and with confidence.

  • Outstanding planning and organizing skills, the ability to work autonomously and pro-actively engage with the community.

  • Emotional intelligence, resilience and physical capacity to perform the required duties.

  • The ability to work in a multicultural environment and engage appropriately with multicultural clients, communities and staff.

  • Tertiary qualification in a related field. A bachelor’s level or higher qualification highly desirable.
